Early High School University Advising Jumpstart

Best for: Students who want to maximize their potential throughout high school, develop timetables and milestones to make goals achievable.

The One Sky team also works with younger students (middle school through 9th and 10th grade) to review a student's current academic records, make recommendations about future course selections and advise on summer opportunities. 

Comprehensive services may include:

INITIAL INTAKE & CONSULTATIONS

  • Meet for in-depth interviews to better understand student's goals, strengths, passions, and address concerns up front

  • Review strength of transcripts and school profile, course selection, available test scores, extracurricular activities, summer/unique experiences

  • Develop student resume through guided assessments, intake and worksheets

  • Maintain regular communication with the student and parent

ACADEMIC, STANDARDIZED TESTS & EXTRA-CURRICULAR PLANNING

  • If student needs to select courses for 11th and/or 12th grade, help to finalize a plan for high school coursework to ensure students are taking full advantage of course offerings at their high school

  • Brainstorm with students ways to explore or deepen extracurricular and academic interests in creative and novel ways

  • Offer support identifying internships and other outside of school programs that align with student interests
